Due to the rush of everyday life, I ended up not realizing that the renewal of the Azure Data Engineer certification also expired on 05/31/2025, even with the renewal rules within the 1-year period. In fact, the alert emails I received from Microsoft itself indicated the deadline for renewal of May 19, 2025, which followed exactly this logic of one year before expiration — and all this before Microsoft even introduced the DP-700 certification into the scenario.
Honestly, Microsoft could at least extend these renewals that were in progress, respecting the original deadline communicated for each case that followed the process correctly before Microsoft changed the rules.
Microsoft, certification team, please — wouldn't it be possible to reopen this deadline for a few more days or weeks? It doesn't hurt, right?
