Regarding EWS: what happens to Outlook Classic? It uses EWS to retrieve OOF, Free/Busy, etc.

Currently, that does not fit into your plans to keep Outlook Classic until 2029.

As we mentioned, we will be updating 1st party apps too, to resolve dependency on EWS in Exchange Online... that includes Outlook Classic. You should ensure to use supported version of Outlook and updates will come in time.
